Table 3 presents an alternative visualization of the values distribution among respondents. Since it is a ranked question, farmers could rank all 5 values from most to least important, and no single respondent could rank more that one value as a 1 (most important).
The hypothesis was that the results are non-random and represent the values of the population. Under the null-hypothesis, therefore, each cell in Table 3 would contain 20% of responses. Using a chi-square test for proportion, the p-values were calculated. As can be seen in Table 3, for each environmental value, the distribution of responses was highly significant (p<0.001).
